Lord, save us from the orthodox NHL fans of this world. Former Rangers enforcer Ryan Reaves is now facing criticism from NHL fans after his departure from the Maple Leafs didn't involve a "thank you" to Brad Treliving and the organization. Is this going to reflect poorly on Treliving or Reaves?

Ryan Reaves signed a one-year deal with the San Jose Sharks, as the NHL heavyweight finds a new home once again.
Reaves was traded to the San Jose Sharks for defenseman Henry Thrun in a one-for-one swap that blew NHL fans' minds.
After playing with the Toronto Maple Leafs the last two seasons, and spending time in the AHL with the Marlies wasn't exactly his idea of a good time.
Now, on the cusp of joining his new team and to be Macklin Celebrini's new protector, the former Rangers enforcer is taking heat from NHL fans.
Reaves wouldn't say thank you to Brad Treliving or the Maple Leafs organization, which left a sour taste in some fans' mouths. While it makes us ponder what Treliving did to the Maple Leafs, as there have been major exits from the locker room, starting with Mitch Marner.
The same forward, whom Reaves would go out of his way to praise. Is the locker room as foul as we've heard in rumors recently?
Either way, Reaves is taking his smashmouth style of hockey out West, as he joins Mike Grier's rebuild in San Jose.
While it is nice to be professional when exiting your job, it is not required, and for Reaves, he's managed to continue a career that is 912 games strong.
Until the CBA states players have to make nice afterwards, it's difficult to see them being prodded to do so, even by fans of said hockey club.
