According to recent reports former New York Rangers first-round draft pick has reportedly already found a new team after having his contract terminated by the Vancouver Canucks.

On Tuesday afternoon, General manager Patrik Allvin of the Vancouver Canucks organization announced that former Rangers forward and first-round draft pick, Vitali Kravtsov has been placed on unconditional waivers for the purposes of a buyout.

After finally returning to the National Hockey League after spending two-seasons overseas playing in the KHL, the 25-years old chances at making comeback to the NHL is reportedly over as he has already found a new team overseas.

Vitali Kravtsov Reportedly Secures New Contract Overseas After Having Contract Terminated

According to reports from Rick Dhaliwal of Donnie & Dhali, Vitali Kravtsov is expected to sign a three-year contract (2025-26 to 2027-28) with KHL club Traktor Chelyabinsk. Not even 24 hours after being placed on waivers by the Canucks.
According to CHEK-TV's Rick Dhaliwal, Kravtsov is re-signing with Traktor Chelyabinsk, the team in the Russia's heartland where Kravtsov spent the past two seasons. In Russia, he showed great offensive ability." Patrick Johnston of The Province said.

Kravtsov has suited up in 288 games for Traktor Chelyabinsk in his career, registering 160 points (81 goals, 79 assists), 45 penalty minutes and was a plus-13, so it makes perfect sense for him to return overseas.
The 25-year old winger was originally selected ninth overall by the New York Rangers during the 2018 NHL Draft, and has only played 64 NHL games over three seasons in his career, posting six goals and six assists, between the Rangers and Canucks.
