New York Rangers top prospect reveals his true approach while entering the organizations 2025 Training Camp and it's something were not seeing from a lot of other prospects.

The New York Rangers rookie training camp began on Wednesday, and top prospect Gabe Perreault was faced with the media following his time on the ice with the other prospects.
During his time with the media, Mollie Walker of the New York Post, reported that the 20-year old prospect has put on roughly 10 pounds in weight. Along with reporting Perreault's approach while being a camp.
Here's what he had to say:
#NYR Gabe Perreault, who put on around 10lbs to get up to about 180lbs, on his approach this training camp:

«Same mentality, I'm going in to [make the team out of] camp. Obviously, I know that it's not going to be given to me, so I'm going to come in every day, work hard and try to prove it.»
The reason behind his why his approach is unique, is due to the fact not many other prospect have openly stated their plan entering the camp. As Perreault continues to carry the same mindset since the offseason, it's clear that he wants to make the teams opening night roster.

Gabe Perreault Needs To Prove He Deserves A Spot On The New York Rangers Roster

The 20-year old forward who was drafted in the first round, 23rd overall, by the New York Rangers of the 2023 NHL entry draft, has only made five appearances with the team last season after he signed a three-year entry-level contract.
Unfortunately, that wasn't enough time for him to prove himself to the organization, along with the fact that the new York Rangers now have a completely new coaching staff.
However, with that being said, i believe it's still very possible that Gabe Perreault con make the New York Rangers opening night roster, as new head coach Mike Sullivan clearly has a way to develop young talent, such as Sidney Crosby.
