New York Rangers reportedly emerge as frontrunners to acquire top UFA this offseason
Recent reports surfaces that suggests the New York Rangers have emerged as frontrunners to acquire top UFA from an Original-Six organization.
According to recent reports,
the New York Rangers are reportedly interested in acquiring a top unrestricted free agent if he the free-agent market this offseason.
That top Unrestricted Free Agent being 29-year old forward
Ryan Donato from the Chicago Blackhawks organization.
Ryan Donato had an outstanding season for
the Chicago Blackhawks in the 2024-25 season. In 80 games, the Massachusetts native set new career highs with 31 goals, 31 assists, and for a total of 62 points.
Certainly something that will help his case as he is now a pending unrestricted free agent.
New York Rangers ready to make a move on the pending unrestricted free agent
According to reports, If the Blackhawks are unable to get Donato signed to a new deal and he hits the free-agent market this summer, the New York Rangers will be one of many teams interested in acquiring the forward.
After a failed season by the New York Rangers it's likely that they will try to add to their forward group this offseason.
Making Donato the perfect player for the Rangers, as he could provide a much needed boost in their middle six.
Along with that he can also play both down the middles and on the wing, something the New York Rangers need.
