Disastrous 2024-2025 season leaves James Dolan no choice but to be more active in the New York Rangers

The New York Rangers' 2024-2025 season was a disappointing outing, which was oversold by GM Chris Drury. The team barely made it into a wild-card spot in the playoffs and has been continually torn down as the season progressed. Now, it looks as if owner James Dolan will be more active in the organization.
In a sign that is comforting to no one including GM Chris Drury, the owner of the New York Rangers franchise James Dolan will likely step in and help conduct exit interviews with the players.
He found this a great method in turning the New York Knicks franchise around, and it could be a winning formula.
After failing to make the playoffs, the season after winning a Presidents' Trophy should give Dolan some pause. Not only are the players disheartened, but the locker room has given up.
The variable remains on the chess board, which hasn't been evaluated, GM Chris Drury.
Drury gets a lot of leeway as he yet again fires another coach in Peter Laviolette than examining his own practices, which have caused turmoil.
Per Drury:
«Quite simply, we fell short across the board,» Drury said. «Nobody here takes it lightly. We know our fans are frustrated and they deserve a better season than this. It starts with me, I need to do a better job and give the staff and players the opportunity to succeed.
«While ultimately I made a decision a new voice was needed behind the bench, everyone here, players, management staff, need to take ownership of the season, and we'll be having direct, honest conversations during exit meetings on Monday. What are expectations for the summer and moving forward, getting ready for next season.»

Exit meetings should've happened today, and if James Dolan should be grilling anyone at this moment in time, it's Chris Drury.
