Hockey World Left Mourning As Former WHL Star Orca Wiesblatt Tragically Passes Away At 25-Years Old

Devastating news continues to strike on Monday, as several reports have sadly confirmed the passing of a former WHL star.
The whole hockey world has been left mourning as reports surfaced and confirmed that former WHL forward, Orca Wiesblatt, had sadly passed at 25-years old after being involved in a fatal car accident.
A 25-year old winger who played four seasons with his hometown team, the Calgary Hitmen in the WHL, but most recently has split time between the SPHL and FPHL in the past two years, and was just about to begin a season in the ECHL in 2025/26.
Following Wiesblatt's passing the Calgary Hitmen issued a heartfelt statement in his honour:
It is with great sadness that we mourn the tragic passing of former Calgary Hitmen Player Orca Wiesblatt.
We are heartbroken for his family, friends, and everyone that knew and loved him. On behalf of the ownership, management, coaches, players, and staff of Calgary Sports and Entertainment , we extend our deepest heartfelt sympathies during this very difficult time.
