Former New York Rangers head coach reportedly being targeted by another Original-Six organization
Recent reports have just revealed that an Original-Six organization just might be targeting former New York Rangers head coach Peter Laviolette.
Just recently, it was announced that the New York Rangers have fired head coach Peter Laviolette on Saturday, after failing to lead the team into the playoffs this past season.
There are multiple teams heading into the off-season that are going to be looking for a new head coach including the Boston Bruins, New York Rangers, Chicago Blackhawks, Philadelphia Flyers, and the Anaheim Ducks.
However, one Original-Six team has reportedly shown interest in Peter Laviolette is the Boston Bruins.
Peter Laviolette's has quite the impressive resume during his coaching career
Laviolette has had six different coaching jobs. He went 55-23-4 in 2023-24 during his first year with the Rangers, and then this year went 39-36-7, missing the playoffs.
Peter Laviolette also has a Stanley Cup to his name whenever he led the Carolina Hurricanes to the Stanley Cup in 2006, he also took the Flyers, and Predators to the finals before.
Is Peter Laviolette a good fit for the Boston Bruins organization?
Laviolette has a bunch of ties to the Bruins, he is from Franklin, and is a Westfield State alum, playing a competitive three years with the Providence Bruins. He was also the
head coach of the Providence Bruins for 2 years, and then an assistant in Boston in 2000-01.
