Erik Gustafsson officially leaves the Rangers and signs with the Red Wings
The New York Rangers have officially let their veteran defensemen walk in free agency.
It was reported today by Elliotte Friedman, that the Detroit Red Wings have signed Erik Gustafsson to a 2-year deal worth $2million AVV.
The 32-year old defenseman Erik Gustafsson signed with the Rangers back on July 1st 2023, during free agency and has since been a reliable defender.
This past season with the Rangers, Gustafsson managed to tally 31 points (6 goals, 25 assists) in the regular season and 3 points during the Rangers playoff run.
Truly a great addition to the Red Wings lineup, best of luck and thanks for everything Gustafsson!
