Trade Incoming: Elliotte Friedman Confirms New York Rangers 1st-Round Pick Is Beginning To Gain Interest

Just moments ago, trusted NHL insider Elliotte Friedman confirmed that New York Rangers former first-round draft pick is gaining a some interest from other organizations around the National Hockey League.
"It's early and most teams try to wait until making moves, but there is at least one name gaining traction out there. That's New York Rangers prospect Brennan Othmann."
Certainly something the New York Rangers must think about considering the fact that Othmann seems to be struggling with his development in New York.
New York Rangers To Trade Prospect Brennan Othmann As Interest Continues To Grow
It definitely seem's like the right time for the New York Rangers and General Manager Chris Drury to really consider the idea of trading Othmann, as he has failed to make the Rangers opening-night roster five time now since being drafted.
Othmann came into the Rangers 2025 Training Camp with high hopes of making the teams opening-night roster as he had played 22 games for the Rangers just last season and tallied two assists. However, that wasn't the case as Othmann was on of the organizations finally cuts and was sent down the Hartford Wolf Pack of the American Hockey League.
Now,
Elliotte Friedman confirms that there are some talks regarding the 22-years old future with the New York Rangers, as he simply may be that he needs a fresh start elsewhere in hopes of gaining a permanent spot on an NHL roster.
