Braden Schneider has returned to the New York Rangers lineup healthy. He'd play through the majority of the season with a torn labrum that would require surgery and an 8-week recovery period. He'd go without skating during that period, and feels good to be back in a Blueshirt.

Braden Schneider has been playing through a torn labrum for the last two years, up until April, when he'd finally get it repaired.
«It's been probably two years since I've had the initial injury,» Schneider said. «It was something that we and the staff did a really good job at communicating and making sure that I was able to go and I wanted to go because we had a big run, and I wanted to be here for this year just because I knew we had a good team coming into this year

It'd require some time off his feet, and he would experience two months of recovery. No hockey, no contact, and no skating.
For Schneider, it could've been an existential crisis, at least until training camp began. The young Rangers defenseman has worked on getting back into shape.
Something he notes, he's in the best shape he's been in.
Could he be a shoe-in for the top four in the Rangers lineup, competing with someone like Will Borgen for a spot?

The Rangers Plan For Braden Schneider

As Braden Schneider gets back into the hustle and bustle of the NHL life again, the team is still taking precautions.
The plan for Chris Drury and the Rangers is for Schneider to play the last three preseason games, depending on a setback.
While he'll be held out of scrimmages at training camp, again as a precautionary measure.
We hope Schneider can start the 2025-26 season healthy and ready to go. The team has missed his shutdown style of defense, and left the blueline leaky.
With Zac Jones gone, he'll have to find a new partner too, which, with all of the new blueliners, should prove to be an interesting task for Mike Sullivan.
