New York Rangers President and General Manager Chris Drury has just provided an update regarding one defenseman ahead of the the pre-season, and fan's don't know how to feel about it.

Earlier on Wednesday evening, Chris Drury and head coach Mike Sullivan meet with the media for their "pre-camp presser" and opened open on a lot of things. However, while doing so Chris Drury has given update regarding defenseman Braden Schneider, as he under went surgery earlier this offseason.
During the offseason, Schneider underwent surgery on a torn labrum, an injury he's been dealing with since the 2022-23 season. Unfortunately, it wasn't until last season that he really began to bother him and decided to have the surgery.
Since then, we haven't heard much on terms of an update besides that the surgery was successful and went well. But now Chris Drury has provided an update that leaves fans feeling uneasy.

During the Rangers "pre-camp presser," Drury revealed that Schneider is not going to play in the intra-squad games this training camp. Along with stated that he will be in a different color jersey, but is able to give/receive contact.
Drury then continued to state that the 23-year old defenseman will miss the majority of the Rangers preseason games and will hopefully play in 2 of the last 3 preseason games.

Barring a setback, Schneider will play in 2 of the last 3 preseason games.
Cleary this is something fans didn't want to hear as the season gets closer. However many fans believe that the Rangers should have Schneider sit out until he's 100% ready to go, so he doesn't risk any further injuries before the season starts.
Do you think the New York Rangers should wait until Braden Schneider is 100% before playing any games? Let us know in the poll down below.
