Artemi Panarin has a lower-body injury and won't return to practice today.
Certainly not the type of news the New York Rangers and their fans want to be hearing just under a week from the preseason games.
Artemi Panarin's Injury To Take Effect On Upcoming Contract Extension?
Hopefully this isn't a serious injury as it certainly could have an effect on his upcoming contract extension with the New York Rangers.
However, if this turns out to be a serious injury and keeps him sidelined for a bit throughout the 2025-26 season, it could certainly impact his future with the New York Rangers and his next contract.
With that being said, the 33-year old forward has openly stated that he's not worried or overthinking his next contract:
«It's not my first year in hockey. I'm used to being in those situations - not every year, but it is where it is right now. I'm not going to complain about that.»
Again hopefully this isn't a serious injury and we can see him return to ice soon, so stay tuned to NY Rangers Insider as we will provide the latest updates on Artemi Panarin and the New York Rangers.
