NHL Insider reveals major stumbling block in Hanifan trade
As the NHL trade deadline approaches and teams are beginning to move their players including the Maple Leafs and the Calgary Flames, one player has made it clear where he'd like to go and according to Elliotte Friedman of the 32 Thoughts podcast it seems that the team in question has a major stumbling block in preventing a deal.
The news continues to change as Noah Hanifan is now the number one defenseman available in the NHL through trade.
Noah Hanifan has made it clear to the NHL that he would like to return to the United States, and he has expressed one team that he'd like to go to who happens to be the Tampa Bay Lightning.
With Lightning general manager Julien Brisebois pushing his chips into the middle for the last several years,
Friedman states that the Lightning have little to no draft capital or prospects to offer Calgary to land this coveted defenceman.
Noah Hanifan would resolve the issue of losing Mikhail Sergachev who suffered a gruesome injury several weeks ago which put him out for the remainder of the season.
It's certain that Noah Hanifan will be on the move it's another question of which team can afford him and be willing to part with several key pieces to land the Calgary Flame.
