NHL Goalie Frustrated Over How Team Handles Trade Talks
Jacob Markstrom's comments on what he's thought of how the Calgary Flames management has handled trade speculation involving him shows a clear level of frustration.
"The whole situation and everything, am I happy about that? No I'm not. And I think it could have been handled a lot different from up top."
That doesn't bode well for keeping him around, now that the trust is seemingly fractured.
Unfortunately, the New Jersey Devils continue to reach out to the Flames about acquiring Markstorm.
NHL insider Pierre LeBrun believes the Devils are now willing to do it without the Flames retaining salary, which was a sticking point in the negotiation talks.
We will update as more information becomes available.
