The Anaheim Ducks have fallen from a team that was a competitive Western Conference club who won the Stanley Cup in 2007 and were a constant threat to teams up until recently.

As the team's demise continues to go into freefall, and general manager pat Verbeek in the middle of a rebuild it seems that the Ducks are beginning to change their opinions on what they'd like to do at the deadline.
32 thoughts podcaster and Sportsnet insider Elliotte Friedman took to his pod yesterday and explained what is going through the ducks organization and how this may affect teams like the New York Rangers who are seeking out players from that organization.
One of the steady rumors and conversations that have been going on between the ducks and the Rangers is a trade for Frank Vatrano and potentially Adam Henrique.
Both would be great additions for the team as they would help boost the third line offence and give the Rangers another weapon to work with during the playoffs.
Friedman explained that Verbeek seems to be keen on adding more veterans to his team to give the kids a better chance to develop at the top level.
So, would this mean that those players are now no longer available?
It remains to be seen however, if the Ducks are serious about their rebuild those two players would be ones you should move to continue to recoup assets as your rebuilt accelerates.
