We are in the final stretch prior to the end of the trade deadline which will conclude on Friday March 8th at 3:00 PM.

Names continue to be linked to the Rangers as many feel the Rangers will be aggressive in trying to augment their team especially in the offensive zone.

A new player has emerged as a potential candidate for the Rangers who happens to be Buffalo Sabres forward Alex Tuch.

The 27-year-old right winger has played for three NHL organisations including the Minnesota Wild, Vegas golden Knights and his current team the Buffalo Sabres.

He is a capable goal scorer as in 2022-2023 he had scored 36 goals and 79 points while being a + 14.

He would be an excellent addition on the Rangers third line with the potential second line duty if need be and would help the second power play unit.

As the Sabres continue to fall out of favor, I would expect Tuch to have no issue to being moved to the Rangers as he would give general manager Chris Drury cost certainty as he holds a $4.75 million cap hit for another two seasons.

If he is capable of scoring over 30 goals, that is a bargain for the price that they're paying for.
