The New York Rangers take on the Los Angeles Kings in a late game tonight at 10:30 PM in Crypto.com Arena. The two teams have been at each other's throats in the past, a well-rested Rangers team should ideally be feisty given their latest record isn't so hot.

The New York Rangers are 3-5-1 in their last nine, and should walk into Crypto.com Arena with something to prove to themselves.
After Jonny Brodzinski's rally to victory over the Canucks on Saturday, they'll need to carry that energy into Los Angeles if they hope to lap the Montreal Canadiens in the Eastern Conference wild-card race.
They'll need to figure out how to generate offense better, considering they were outshot by their opponents, 39-12 last game.
Knowing the high-powered offense the Kings have, the defense will have to be tight and give Igor Shesterkin a chance to shine in the crease.
At the moment, the team is tied for ninth in the East with a record of 34-41-6, while the Kings have won the last eight of nine games played, and are one of the best teams in the Pacific.
Will the Rangers let them sweep the series?

All Roads Lead To Victory

While this sounds ridiculous, the Rangers are 1-4-1 at the moment in Madison Square Garden in their last six games.
On the road, they're a completely different team with a record of 5-2-1 and a .679 winning percentage while travelling. Second best in the league.

Shoot The Puck!

However, dethroning the Kings won't come easily as they're on a 14-game points streak, 11-0-3 and 6-00 in their last six. It won't come easy. The Kings only allow 25.4 shots per game, and 2.52 goals a game.
While Darcy Kuemper looks like his old self, with a 2.13 GAA, and a record of 24-9-7 in 41 games.

Where in the World is Sam?

Sam Carrick didn't travel with the Rangers tonight, and he has played all 71 games for the team this year. Carrick wasn't at practice, and it's unknown whether we'll see him in the lineup tonight or not.
While he's not a superstar for the team, he's been a reliable depth forward whose scored at key moments for the Rangers.
If he doesn't slot in tonight in Los Angeles, Peter Laviolette will have to rely on Juuso Parssinen in his absence.
