The New York Rangers are currently preparing to face off against the Seattle Kraken this afternoon at 1:00PM.
Just a few days ago the New York Rangers have made some drastic changes, such as trading their captain Jacob Trouba to the Anaheim Ducks and signing Igor Shesterkin to a record-breaking contract worth $92 Million.
Which seemed to help push the Rangers to a 4-2 victory over the Pittsburgh Penguins on Friday night.
However, the New York Rangers PR team on X has just confirmed that the organization has recalled 22-year old goaltender Dylan Garand from the America Hockey League.
Along with recalling this youngster to the lineup they have also recalled 28-year old defenseman Connor Mackey.
According to several Rangers reporters, it will be superstar goaltender Igor Shesterkin who won't be with the team today, as his wife is reportedly in labour. Garand is likely to backup for Jonathan Quick.
As for recalling, 28-year old defensman Connor Mackey, he will just provide the Rangers with an extra D as they only have six active defenders at the moment.
Huge congratulations to Igor Shesterkin and his wife as they welcome another life into this world, from everyone here at NY Rangers Insider we wish their family nothing but health and happiness as they welcome another little one.
