New York Rangers veteran forward to miss his first ever game since joining the Rangers, as reports surfaced that he missed Monday's team practice.
As the New York Rangers prepare took to the ice on Monday evening for their practice, it was announced that forward Sam Carrick would not be joining the team due to personal reasons.
Sam Carrick won't practice for #NYR today for personal reasons, per the team.
Sam Carrick has been a very valuable asset to the New York Rangers since the day he arrived, and has been having a very solid season so far, and hasn't missed a game yet since joining the team during the last offseason.
Since joining the Rangers he has managed to tally 6 goals and 12 assists for a total of 18 points, making him only one point away from tying his career high when he got 19 points back in the 2021-22 season.
New York Rangers have seemed to found Sam Carrick's replacement
On Monday afternoon, New York Rangers President and General Manager Chris Drury made an announcement that he recalled forward Nicolas Aubé-Kubel from the Hartford Wolf Pack of the American Hockey League.
UPDATE: Nicolas Aube-Kubel has been recalled from the Hartford Wolf Pack.
With no updates further update as now, his availability for tonight's game against the LA Kings at 10:30PM doesn't seem to me looking to promising.
