While Matt Rempe is a spark the New York Rangers need, as evidence by his placement in the lineup of Games 2 and 3, his spot is not secure.

The Rangers have in Rempe a double-edged sword, which of course has been cutting nicely, with the team being 17-1-0 with him in the lineup.

The last two victories helped secure a 1 game lead in the series.

With the Rangers ahead in the Eastern Conference finals, proper utilization of talent is key.

With the team playing their game, changes can be made or shelved and one players situation you should be looking at is Matt Rempe.

One possible change worth monitoring would involve Matt Rempe. His effectiveness/usage at home vs. on the road has been stark. Played only 4:02 in G3, with just 3 shifts after 1st period.

#NYR still has the Blake Wheeler hand to play, which would be an uplifting moment for team.

In Game 3, the Rangers only played Rempe 4:02 TOI during the entire game, compared to his usual utilization being 5:38 according to StatMuse.

He would play only 3 more shifts after the 1st period and it appears, with Blake Wheeler ready to slot in, Rempe's short playoff usage maybe be done for.

Rempe has only played 9 playoff games for the Rangers, notching 1 point, with plus/minus of +2 and 4 PIMs.
