A major development has surfaced in the New York Rangers organization finding their next captain.
In December of the 2024/25 NHL season, the New York Rangers shockingly traded their former captain, Jacob Trouba, to the Anaheim Ducks, for a fourth-round pick in the 2025 NHL Draft.
Ever since this trade erupted, the Rangers have yet to choose a new player to take over the «C» label.
However, a new report is speculating that the organization may have found their replacement.

A reporter for The Hockey News has revealed a very intriguing candidate to take over the captain label.
That player being Vincent Trocheck.
Trocheck is undoubtedly beloved by his teammates and the fans in New York, even throughout the underwhelming 2024/25 NHL campaign.
In The Hockey News' latest piece, they revealed five reasons as to why the New York Rangers should name Trocheck as the team's next captain.
