Old spats die hard, as it appears that, according to former Vancouver Canucks forward, Elias Pettersson, believes J.T. Miller isn't fit for the job of Captain. This is despite the New York Post's Larry Brooks campaigning for him to get the "C".
The New York Rangers acquired their former 1st-round pick in 2011, JT Miller, in order to turn things around.
The trade would send significant assets to Vancouver in order to find someone who could be a leader in the locker room. This is after they traded former Captain Jacob Trouba and waived Barclay Goodrow.
After the locker room was broken, it seemed that the forward might've been a cohesive force in the lineup.

Miller is the kind of player and person who's known for his aggressive mindset and competitive mentality.

Is JT Miller Ready To Wear The Captain's C?
Larry Brooks would begin the campaign for him swiftly, as you can tell, he believes every word he's typed.

But there remain questions, as his drama with Elias Pettersson makes us wonder if he's mature enough to deal with conflict inside the locker room and be able to resolve it.
Pettersson and Miller's conflict would be the final nail in the coffin of his career in Vancouver, and he gladly accepted the trade back to New York.
While the past is the past, it is often indicative of how someone will act in the future if they fail to change.
It is ultimately up to Mike Sullivan to decide, and is Miller it?
