The NHL has officially reinstated Stan Bowman and Joel Quenneville
The NHL has officially made the decisions to reinstate Stan Bowman and Joel Quenneville after being suspended for over two years.
After Joel Quenneville and Stan Bowman were involved in the Kyle Beach scandal they were immediately suspended by the NHL.
The two men were reportedly involved in a cover-up that prevented a proper investigation from occurring, which led the league to suspended both of them and gave them both take part in a rehabilitation programs.
Even after the two completed the initial work, the NHL still denied either of them to return to the league. However, it appears that they have changed their minds and reinstate both men.
The National Hockey League today announced that, effective immediately, Stan Bowman, Al Maclsaac and Joel Quenneville are eligible to seek employment in the NHL. For more than the last two and a half years, these individuals have been ineligible to work for any NHL team as a result of their inadequate response upon being informed in 2010 of allegations that Blackhawks' Player, Kyle Beach, had been assaulted by the Club's video coach.
With that being said, both of them won't bb able to return until after July 10th, and will have no restrictions. Obviously this decision isn't sitting well with many, and the league will definitely be criticized for announcing this on the busiest news day.
