Several Intriguing Players Available For Free After Hitting Waivers: The New York Rangers Must Act Fast

The NHL waiver wire seen a shorter list of players on October 3rd, as only 12 players have been placed on waivers as the 2025-26 season is nearly here.
Earlier on October 3rd, 12 NHL players were placed on the wire, shockingly none were from the New York Rangers this time.
As instead the New York Rangers have decided to assign two top prospects, Gabe Perreault and
Scott Morrow to the Hartford Wolf Pack of the American Hockey League on Friday morning.
The Rangers have sent F Gabe Perreault and D Scott Morrow to Hartford. Not surprising. Both need to play the minutes and in the roles their skillsets dictate they need to play to continue their develop. That wasn't going to happen right away in New York.
