New York Rangers Organization Issues A Special Announcement Regarding Legendary Forward Jean Ratelle

The New York Rangers have made a surprising announcement earlier today involving one of their former legends.
Earlier on Friday morning, the New York Rangers made an announcement celebrating legend, Jane Ratelle, as today is his birthday.
Today is Number 19's birthday, and as the longtime Rangers legends now turns 85-years old and the New York Rangers made a special post on social media wishing him a happy birthday as he was born on October 3rd, 1940.

Jane Ratelle's Stellar Career Makes Him One Of The Greatest New York Rangers
The longtime legend was know as a long, lean, and rangy 6-foot-1, 180 pound forward, who combined his high-level of skills and an unselfish approach to the league that resulted in outstanding results.
Over his 21 seasons in the National Hockey League, Ratelle managed to tally 491 goals, 776 assists and 1,267 points in 1,281 NHL games, something that help placed Ratelle sixth on the NHL's all-time scoring list when his career ended in 1981.
He scored 20 or more goals 14 times -- including 13 consecutive seasons -- and scored 25 or more goals 13 times. He had three consecutive 32-goal seasons, twice topped 40, and should have had a 50-goal season in 1971-1972, but he broke his ankle, missed the final 15 games and finished with 46. Ratelle got 40 assists or better in 12 seasons, getting at least 60 three times, with a high of 69 in 1975-76. He topped 70 points 12 times and twice broke the 100-point mark.
During the center's first 16 seasons with the New York Rangers, he tallied 336 goals and 481 assists for 817 points, along with a plus-167 rating in 861 games, before being traded to the Boston Bruins back in 1975.
