The New York Rangers have just announced some major news regarding two of their two top prospects, with just four days until opening-night.

On Friday afternoon, the New York Rangers announced that top prospects Gabe Perreault and Scott Morrow have been cut from the Rangers Training Camp and will be assigned to the Hartford Wolf Pack of the American Hockey League.
UPDATE: Scott Morrow and Gabe Perreault have been assigned to the Hartford Wolf Pack.
Certainly a move that will leave many fans upset. But in the long run it will greatly benefit the young players development so they are ready for when their time comes.

New York Rangers Roster Down To 24 Players: Four Nights Before Opening-Night

The New York Rangers roster is now down to a final 24 players, now that Perreault and Morrow have been assigned to the Wolf Pack, leaving only one or two more players to be cut depending on what the decide to do.

It will certainly be interesting to see who will be the final one cut, as the new York Rangers opening-night is on October 7th, as they face off against the Pittsburgh Penguins.
I unfortunately believe it will be Noah Laba who id the next one cut, but he still has one final chance to prove he belongs on the Rangers opening-night roster as they have one final preseason game on Saturday October 4th against the Boston Bruins.
