New York Rangers Complete Two Player Transaction With Just Less Than A Week Until Opening-Night

On Tuesday afternoon the New York Rangers announced a round of roster cuts, which seen a total of ten players be cut from the Training Camp roster, including Brennan Othmann.

However, with that being said, eight players were assigned to the American Hockey League, to join the Hartford Wolf Pack. Leaving two players to be placed on waivers.

The other two players who were placed on waivers were, Brendan Brisson and Connor Mackey.

The following day on October 1st, the New York Rangers announced that their roster transaction was complete as both Brendan Brisson and Connor Mackey managed to clear waivers and will now join the Hartfoird Wolf Pack.

Along with that the New York Rangers have also placed 28-year old defenseman Casey Fitzgerald on waivers today, as they are really trying to narrow down their roster for their opening-night game against the Pittsburgh Penguins in just less than a week.

The New York Rangers only have two more preseason games remaining, one on Thursday Oct 2nd, against the Devils, and one on Saturday Oct 4th, against the Boston Bruins. So it's likely that we will see the final roster cuts be made at some point on the weekend.
