New York Rangers Receive Major Injury News Regarding Veteran Forward Ahead Of Upcoming Preseason Game

The New York Rangers have just received some major news regarding one of their veterans on Thursday afternoon.
Earlier this week New York Rangers veteran forward, Sam Carrick, sustained a lower-body injury, which resulted in him to be sidelined since Monday as more of a precautionary decision.
#NYR Sam Carrick is day-to-day with a lower-body injury and won't play tonight vs. #Isles, but it's precautionary for just an exhibition game.
However, with that being said, Sam Carrick did return to the New York Rangers practice on Wednesday but spotted wearing a red non-contact jersey.
Still no J.T. Miller at #NYR practice today. He's still yet to skate.

On Thursday morning the Rangers received more great news on the 33-year old veteran forward, as he was spotted at practice this morning without a red jersey and has been cleared to return.
Also, Sam Carrick is back in a regular jersey. Looks like he's been cleared. #NYR
Again with this being said, it was confirmed that Carrick will not being playing tonight for Rangers as they take on the New Jersey Devils for their second last preseason game.
Last season the 33-year old forward, managed to score 20 points (6-14) and ended the year with a +4, in 80 games played with the Rangers. Earning a role as a key player for the Rangers organization. So it's crucial that he's ready to go for opening-night on October 7th.
