In the spirit of the NHL GM meetings that are going on currently in Florida, many fans take to the web and their podcasts giving ideas of what they would do to improve the NHL in how to speed up the game and make it more advantageous for teams.
During an interview with Rangers host Jonny Lazarus, Dailyfaceoff.com CEO Frank Seravalli offered his take on what he would do if he had the ability to make a change in the NHL which surrounds the idea of icing the puck while killing a penalty.
A rule change like this would certainly cause havoc across the NHL at the beginning as it's been engrained in many players heads on how to kill penalties and to conduct their power play.
Of course, this is just fans speaking about what they would do but it certainly begs the question on whether this would be a good idea or not.
As the GM meetings wrap up this week, numerous rule changes have emerged as proposals and have raised some eyebrows with fans and other pundits.
As always, there will be some rule changes that will need to go to the NHL board of directors to be voted on.
