The National Hockey League just made history after the Seattle Kraken announced Jessica Campbell as a coach behind their bench.

Earlier today, it was confirmed that the Seattle Kraken will be hiring Jessica Campbell as the first female assistant coach in the NHL history.
The Kraken organization also announced that Bob Woods will be the coaching staff of Dan Bylsma as well.
"With the hiring, Campbell becomes the first full-time female assistant coach in NHL history to work behind the bench during the regular season," Kraken said in a news release.
"This is an important day for our organization,» said Kraken general manager Ron Francis. «We're bringing in valuable coaching experience to our staff and are confident that both Bob and Jessica will make an immediate impact for our team."

Finally after all the speculation of Campbell joining the coaching staff it's now official.
Previously she was the assistant coach for the Kraken's affiliate the Coachella Valley Firebirds.
