The New York Rangers situation with Jacob Trouba is turning into a bigger mess than it needs to be.

Over the past couple of days the Rangers were reportedly going to trade Trouba to the Red Wings, but doesn't seem to be the case now.

However, now according to Larry Brooks of The New York Post's, the Rangers captain Jacob Trouba feelings are now hurt.

«Monday is the day that Jacob Trouba's no-move clause transforms to a 15-team no-trade list,» The New York Post's Larry Brooks wrote.«There are apparently hurt feelings on the part of the captain, maybe even deservedly so over the way the club's intentions were splashed all over the papers and the internet last week.»

It's not everyday you see a team move on from their captain in this sort of fashion, but the Rangers desperately looking to clear cap space and Trouba's $8 million cap hit is way too high for them.

But definitely not the first time the Rangers organization did that, as they had a similar situation when they waived Barclay Goodrow and reports indicated that he was not happy with how they handle things.

Hopefully we can find out what Trouba's future will like soon.
