Funny Online Feud Going On Between Retired Ref And Sports Reporter
Get your popcorn out everyone! An online battle is brewing between retired referee Tim Peel, and hockey insider and sports reporter Frank Seravalli.
This all started when sports journalist Mark Spector, asked
Connor McDavid if he would rather the team try to win games 4-1 rather than 7-5 after the Edmonton Oilers lost 5-3 to the Florida Panthers, continuing this terrible slump from the team.
McDavid wasn't the only one unimpressed with the question. So was Tim Peel.
"What an idiotic question by the media. I feel sorry for Connor. Played his ass off tonight!"
Spector didn't take too kindly to this response and actually reached out to Peel via text. Peel, shockingly, posted the text conversation between them online on X for everyone to see.
For context, the blue text is from Peel, the white text is from Spector.
Frank Seravalli wasn't happy seeing Peel post what was suppose to be a private conversation out on social media.
Seravalli lashed out at Peel and even posted an article of Peel being accused of 'berating' teenage youth hockey officials.
Peel makes a response after this of players wanting out of Canada.
"Ahh that hurts Frank. Your buddy Spector has been in the business for 35 years I'm sure he can fight his own battles. He messaged me because you guys want everyone else to be held accountable except yourselves when you ask ridiculous questions. No wonder players want out of Canada."
Welcome to mid-season hockey everyone! We will update this story if the argument between these men continues.
