Matt Rempe has shown tremendous dedication to improving his game during the NHL off-season.
Much like Doug Glatt in the first Goon movie, he had issues skating and would go above and beyond to learn to skate.
Rempe, worked on his skating abilities as he power-skated every day during the offseason. This sounds like it occurred when he was training with Georges Laraque too.
So not only that, but he improved his athleticism and fought on of Ross Rhea's foes as well.
It sounds like his major goal is to improve from just an NHL enforcer to a power-forward, and bottom to middle-six option for the Rangers.
Adam Lowry has been a reliable, long-term player for the Winnipeg Jets and a player who plays with grit and some offensive skills as well.
If Rempe could improve that much, the Rangers could be that much better. In the meantime, he'll have to compete with Sam Carrick, Adam Edstrom, and Rangers prospects for a bottom-six role in New York.
