Rangers Had A Sloppy First Period, Shesterkin Looking Sharp
Rangers are looking a bit sloppy to start this game against the Buffalo Sabres.
Turnovers have been the biggest issues, and they have been happening all over the ice, in either the neutral zone, defensive or offensive zones, they just keep fumbling the puck.
Despite the turnovers, the Rangers actually scored, but was immediately waved off as a hand pass from Will Cuylle's wrist to Blake Wheeler.
Lindgren turns it over at the Rangers blue line and then the Sabres get it to JJ Peterka who scores to put the Sabres ahead 1-0.
Thankfully Igor Shesterkin has looked sharp in front of the net, without him, this could have easily been a multiple goal deficit, but we head to the second down 1-0.
