Top defensive prospect speaks out on being recalled to the New York Rangers, as the organization has been dealing with several injuries among their D-pairs.

Over the last week the New York Rangers have needed to recall a few players from the Hartford Wolf Pack of the American Hockey League, one being top defensive prospect Scott Morrow.
Unfortunately, Morrow hasn't been needed in the Rangers lineup thus far, something Morrow has just recently spoken out about during a recent interview, where he revealed he's happy to be back.
«It's always good to stay ready,» Morrow said. «I'm happy to be back, and it's fun being out here with these guys.»

Throughout training camp, Morrow was given the same opportunity to thrive and prove that he earns a spot on the New York Rangers roster for the 2025-26 season. However, despite several good looks during the preseason, Morrow was ultimately sent down to the AHL.
Resulting in the 22-year old to reflect on his performance throughout the preseason, Morrow revealed that he was pleased with some aspects of him game, but openly admitted he could've done better.
«My performance I would say was pretty solid. I think I have a higher level of offense I could bring maybe than what I showed in training camp, although I thought I did a solid job on a power play when I got those opportunities,» Morrow said.

«I think I could push myself to create a little bit more. As a younger defenseman in the NHL, your first responsibility is to defend, so that's what's going to get me here, so I need to focus on that just as much, if not more. I would say I had a pretty solid training camp. I think I showed well and showed my skill set, but I have a higher level to reach.»

Regardless of all that, Morrow now has another opportunity to prove that he belongs whether or not he plays a game or not. Now's the time to show Mike Sullivan that he wont take his chances for granted and prove himself.
«You always have something to prove,» Morrow said. «Even guys who are making a lot of money, who played 500,000 games in the NHL. They always have something to prove, and your job is on the line every day, so I would say my mentality hasn't changed.»
