There's a lot to love in last night's, 5-1 opening, team effort win, for the New York Rangers.
Goaltender Igor Shesterkin played every bit like the former Vezina trophy winner that he is, stopping 23 of 24 shots, 3-3 on penalty kills, and snatching up his 100th career win in his 159th game, as no goaltender has recorded 100 wins as a Ranger, debuting with the club or at any point in their career, in fewer than 187 games.
Being on a historic pace, similar to Rangers' legend and two-time Norris Trophy winner, Brian Leetch, is incredible.
Fox can continue his onslaught towards the record books, as he is only 25, with a full career still ahead of him. He's won the Norris Trophy award in just his second season, and is more than capable of winning another as his game continues to grow.
