Questions Arise For When This Player Will Start
The New York Rangers have arguably the best goaltender in the league in Igor Shesterkin.
But they would soon like to see what veteran,
Jonathan Quick, has left in the tank.
The season is early still with the Rangers' playing only their third game of the season.
But they would soon like to give the former Stanley Cup Champion a start to see how he gels with the team.
Igor Shesterkin is expected to start tonight in their home opener against the Arizona Coyotes, but with discussions coming out that we might see Jonathan Quick on Thursday's game against the Nashville Predators, it would be an interesting development.
Last season, Quick played for the Vegas Golden Knights, where he played 10 games, a 5-2-2 record. His goals allowed average was 3.13, and a save percentage of .901. He had one shutout.
Jonathan Quick might not be the same goaltender he was, back in his Stanley Cup championship form when he defeated the Rangers in 2014, while he was part of the Los Angeles Kings, but if he's at least half the player that he was back then, we might have one of the best goalie tandem in the league.
