New York Rangers: former Rangers Pavel Buchnevich officially signs new contract
Unfortunate news for the New York Rangers organization has just been confirmed.
It appears Rangers GM Chris Drury's chances of signing former player has officially just closed, according to NHL insider Elliotte Friedman.
Pavel Buchnevich has officially signed a contract extension with the St. Louis Blues and put an end to a possible reunion.
Despite finding himself in some trade rumors back at the deadline due to having just one year left on his contract, he now earned himself a hefty new six-year extension worth $48 million.
In 80 games played last season with the Blues, he put up 63 points (27 goals, 36 assists). During his three seasons in St. Louis, with 206 points in 216 games. He also just posted his fifth 20-goal campaign in the last six years.
Originally a third-round pick by the New York�Rangers in the 2013 NHL Draft, qnd then was acquired by the Blues in a trade from the Rangers in the summer of 2021.
