Matt Rempe of the New York Rangers remains out of the lineup due to an upper-body injury. There have been updates, and while they have been promising, there's no timetable for return yet. With his absence, Coach Mike Sullivan's statement provides an idea of how important he is to the Blueshirts.

Tonight at 8 P.M., the Rangers take on the Calgary Flames in the Scotiabank Saddledome without the hometown kid in tow, Matt Rempe.
The Calgary-born forward has been an important member of the team's bottom-six, as he established himself along with Adam Edstrom and Sam Carrick.
With only 9 games played for the Blueshirts this season, his absence is noticeable as the team has to deal with Vinnie Trocheck and Rempe's injuries.
Mike Sullivan stated how important he is to the team's lineup.
As you can tell, Rempe has played the game with passion and fire over the last year and a half. He's worked on improving his overall performance. He's done masterfully, earning a spot on the NHL roster.

Matt Rempe is a Vital Piece for the New York Rangers

Rempe has played nine games for the Blueshirts this year and remains on the sidelines after a rematch with Ryan Reaves.
His tilt was an exciting affair on the ice, as it was the first time we've seen him throw down the gloves in a while.
However, we never expected the power forward to be injured as a result of the matchup.
With hope, he will recover soon enough and find himself back on the fourth line and continue to improve as an NHL player.
The fan favorite signed a two-year deal with the Rangers and will remain a fan favorite in New York.
