Just moments ago the New York Rangers confirmed Matt Rempe's availability for their upcoming four-game road trip that is set to begin on Sunday against the Calgary Flames.

On Thursday night, Matt Rempe was involved in a very heated altercation with San Jose Sharks enforcer Ryan Reaves and was forced to exit the game early after sustaining an upper-body injury.
Something that resulted in the Rangers to recall 22-year old offensive prospect, Brennan Othmann, from the Hartford Wolf Pack of the American Hockey League, to have an extra forwarad on board due to the fact that Rempe's injury status was unknown.
However, just moments ago the Rangers arrived at the Scotiabank Saddledome in Calgary Alberta, for their practice and provided an update on Matt Rempe and his status for their road trip.

New York Rangers Confirm Matt Rempe's Status Is Worse Than Expected

Upon the Rangers arrival to Calgary the team confirmed that Matt Rempe did not travel with the team, and will in fact be missing Sunday night's game against the Calgary Flames.
Matt Rempe did not make the trip to his hometown of Calgary. Upper body, still being evaluated, Rangers say.

Certainly some devastating news for the young enforcer, as it's clear that he has sustained a serious injury from his altercation with Ryan Reaves. Unfortunately, we still have no idea what's wrong with Rempe, it could very well be a concussion, broken hand, or something worst.
However, it's clear that with Rempe missing from the lineup someone will be stepping up to fill his spot in the lineup, and it could very well be between Jonny Brodzinski or Brennan Othmann.
