After the two engaged in a tilt, Rempe would have to leave the ice for the locker room. According to reports, the Rangers forward has suffered an upper-body injury.
Rempe did not return to the game, as he was ultimately ruled out for the remainder of the contest with an upper-body injury.
«He's being evaluated right now for an upper-body injury,» head coach Mike Sullivan said during his postgame press conference.
Matt Rempe Is Suffering From An Upper-body Injury
Due to the fact that Matt Rempe is out of the lineup, the Rangers have had to make a call-up from the Hartford Wolfpack. Forward Brennan Othmann will be a call-up in an ironic turn of events.
With Rempe out, Othmann will likely find a temporary home on the third or fourth line in the lineup
The 23-year-old forward has recorded one goal in nine games for the Rangers this season while averaging 9:48 minutes per game.
Now, the Rangers will have to figure out a way to make sure Rempe stays healthy, as he has an expanded role in the lineup after a year of growth in 2024-25.
This season, Matt Rempe has scored 1 point in 9 games.
