Some very unfortunate injury news strikes former New York Rangers defenseman and the Carolina Hurricanes as they have just been hit with several injuries early in the 2025-26 season.

On Thursday night the Carolina Hurricanes pulled off a shocking 5-4 victory in a shootout against the Colorado Avalanche on, but it came at a cost as several players sustained devastating injuries.
Two of the team's bottom six forwards, Eric Robinson and William Carrier, left the game with injuries, adding to a long list of injuries.

Rod Brind'Amour Confirm Several Devastating Injuries For The Carolina Hurricanes

Following the Hurricanes game on Thursday, Head coach Rod Brind'Amour delivered an update and told reporters including team reporter Walt Ruff after the game that both Robinson and Carrier were likely to be out «an extended period.»
Along with adding that former Rangers defenseman K'Andre Miller could be out long-term with an injury as well.
Ouch.

Rod Brind'Amour tells the broadcast post-game that he expects both William Carrier and Eric Robinson to be out for an extended period.

Nothing definitive regarding K'Andre Miller, but "that could be a while" too.
Looks like K'Andre Miller is going to miss a lot of time.

Certainly not the way the Hurricanes wanted things to go after such a hot start of the 2025-26 season. Especially on Miller who was excited for a fresh start after being traded from the Rangers during the offseason.
