New York Rangers Official Asking Price For Brennan Othmann Has Just Been Revealed: Per Elliotte Friedman

Earlier this month Elliotte Friedman had revealed New York Rangers forward Brennan Othmann has been gaining a ton of interest early into the 2025 season, and now the organization's official asking price was revealed.

The 22-year old winger is a former first-round draft pick of the New York Rangers has they selected him with the 16th overall pick of the 2021 NHL Entry Draft. So it's safe to assume the Rangers will want a decent return for him.

According to Elliotte Friedman's latest segment on Sportsnet, he revealed that the New York Rangers have asked the interested organization for "good AHL prospects" in return for Othmann.

Without a doubt there will be a few organizations that will be willing to pay that price for Othmann, as he has the potential to become a decent player in the NHL, but just hasn't quite had the proper development to do so.

Certainly a change of scenery could be exactly what Othmann needs to take that next step and become a full-time NHL player.

Othmann has appeared in four games so far this season with the Hartford Wolf Pack, where he has posted one assist and six penalty minutes. But was most recently recalled to the Rangers lineup on Friday morning, following more unfortunate injury news.

In 25 career games over two seasons with the Rangers, Othmann has recorded two assists, 49 hits, and a plus-7 rating, and just might get another chance to show the Rangers he's ready for the NHL.
