The New York Rangers and Mike Sullivan have made an adjustment to the lineup tonight ahead of the game against the Calgary Flames. Puck drops at 8 P.M., and tonight you'll get to see Brennan Othmann take the ice for his season debut.
Tonight, the Rangers will take on the Calgary Flames in the Scotiabank Saddledome in Calgary, Alberta. The Flames are in the midst of a rebuild, and ended 2024-25 as one of the hottest teams in the league.
This season, though, it seems as if the light has been extinguished, as they're 1-7-1 this season, with 0-3-1 at home.
The game should be an easy one for the taking for the Rangers, who have been in a slump, with a record of 3-4-2, and 0-3-1 on the road.
It's not a promising record, but as long as they play lights out, they could find themselves in the win column. Ahead of the game tonight, Mike Sullivan has decided to bring Brennan Othmann into the fold to help the team.
Brennan Othmann Makes His Season Debut
Brennan Othmann will get a chance to show what he's made of this season. He began the year in the AHL with the Hartford Wolfpack this season, and has scored 1 point (1A) in 4 games.
For now, he'll be a fixture in the team's bottom-six and have a chance to show what he's capable of.
Othmann was selected 16th overall by the New York Rangers in 2021.
His career high is 49 points (21-28) in the AHL with the Hartford Wolfpack.
