Respected NHL Insider Links New York Rangers Superstar Forward To Division Rivals In Blockbuster Trade
NHL Insider Frank Seravalli has some explosive news to report today. According to the former DailyFaceOff host, forward Artemi Panarin has been linked to the Rangers' Metropolitan Division rivals. A harrowing prospect for a team in the dirt.
NHL Insider Frank Servalli Links Artemi Panarin to the Carolina Hurricanes
A team under GM Eric Tulsky, who isn't collecting aging veterans like infinity stones, but more so skillful forwards. As he added
Mikko Rantanen and
Logan Stankoven last season, along with
Nikolaj Ehlers this year, he could target Artemi Panarin soon.
Of course, that would involve Panarin waiving his no-trade clause to head South into Hurricane territory.
"I could see Artemi Panarin as a Cane ... we know they want to be aggressive. If #NYR continue to hover at the very bottom of the standings, could they convince Panarin to go to the Hurricanes and what would that look like? I think that would be a great fit." #CarolinaCulture
The only question is, how convincing can Chris Drury be?
Though the Hurricanes will have to take into account the massive cap hit that comes with acquiring Panarin, who has an $11.6 million attached to his name.
Could they wing it as contenders?
At the moment, they have $9 million in space, and moving a little bit of salary around could make it happen.
