Knicks And Rangers Both Advance, With Second Round Schedules Revealed
The New York Rangers aren't the only team in Madison Square Garden that's advancing to the second round. The New York Knicks have beaten the Philadelphia 76ers 118-115 in Game 6 to clinch their spot in the Conference Semi-finals, with a matchup against the Indian Pacers. They have made the 2nd round in back-to-back seasons for the first time in the 21st century.
It's the first time since 2013 that both the Knicks and the Rangers managed to advance past the first round in the same year. The Rangers second round series against the Carolina Hurricanes will officially begin Sunday, May 5 in Madison Square Garden. Time and the following games of the series is still to be determined.
The Knicks will begin the second round on Monday, also at Madison Square Garden.
Game 1: Monday, May 6 at Madison Square Garden, 7:30 p.m.
Game 2: Wednesday, May 8 at MSG, 8 p.m.
Game 3: Friday, May 10 at Indiana, 7 p.m.
Game 4: Sunday, May 12 at Indiana, 3:30 p.m.

Game 6 (if necessary): at Indiana, time and date TBD
