Goaltender Reminisce Last Time He Played In MSG
The New York Rangers will have their third goaltender this season tonight against the Minnesota Wild due to the injuries of Igor Shesterkin and Jonathan Quick.
Louis Domingue will get a shot to show what he is made of in front of the home crowd tonight.
Especially since his last appearance, it was when he was playing for the opposition:
"It's gonna be great to play for the home crowd this time around. It was pretty hard when we were in the playoffs and they were against me"
He's referring to game 6 of the first round 2022 NHL playoffs.
He was the starting goaltender that game for the Pittsburgh Penguins against the Rangers, who were in the midst of overcoming a 3-1 series deficit to eliminate the Penguins in seven games.
The Rangers won that game 5-3.
Can't say we feel sorry for the beat down, the Rangers handed him and the Penguins, but we are glad to have him on our side now, especially with the mounting injuries the Rangers keep facing.
Let's cheer him on to get the win!
