Former NY Rangers career hits rock bottom after recent announcement
The Calgary flames and former Rangers Marc Savard have mutually agreed to part ways in an official statement released by the Flames organization.
Savard spent the 2023 season behind the Calgary Flames bench as their assistant coach. With the regular season at an end there has been a few rumours speculating that he might join the Toronto Maple Leafs alongside Craig Berube.
Marc Savard doesn't have much experience when it comes to coaching but he does have some, as he coached the St.Louis Blues during the 2019-2020 season, along with two seasons in the OHL with the Windsor Spitfires, and well of course a season as an assistant coach with the Calgary Fames.
There has been no real indication on what lead them to mutually part ways with each other, and no sources confirming any connections that tie the Maple Leafs into the decision.
For now we just have to be patient and see if anything changes, if Berube and Savard do pair up behind the Leafs bench it would change the whole dynamics of the Leafs.
