Filip Chytil may have to come to terms with the fact, that his career could be in question after this latest injury.

If you were in Chytil's shoes, and saw his career from his family's perspective, do you think that this can continue to be maintained?

According to Stan Fischler's buddy:

When the Czech center got whacked with a concussion last year, one of my Ranger fan buddies David Perlmutter said, "He should quit now. RIGHT NOW!"

Which is a valid concern, considering his injury history. His last concussion kept him out of the regular season, only to return during the playoffs.

Ryan Lindgren expressed his concerns as well, it made his stomach turn seeing Chytil suffer another injury:

«It definitely does,» Ryan Lindgren told The Post after practice Saturday in Tarrytown. «Dealing with that is tough. You just hope for the best for him. He's a guy that we love. He's a huge part of our team.»

While no one wants to give up their career path, Chytil may have to consider something off the ice, if he is to continue working in professional hockey.

How many concussions should Chytil have to suffer before he decides to hang up the skates?

Jakub Voracek had to call it a career after suffering 7 or 8 concussions, and this should be any medical professional's first concern.

While the team is 10-4-1 the void left by Chytil will be felt by players and coaches alike.

Chytil shouldn't play fast and loose with his health anymore, and neither should the Rangers really.

"You'll see what this team really can do when January arrives," says The Old Scout. "At six games over .500 and still playing mediocre; imagine how good they'll be when they shape up in a couple of months for the really serious games."

For now, it remains a waiting game, and we hope Chytil hasn't suffered another concussion. All we can do is speculate.
