Former New York Rangers forward reveals what his mindset will be heading into the 2025-26 season, as his season ended early after sustaining another concussion.
Throughout Chytil's tenure with the New York Rangers, he suffered many concussions that were documented, and several other injuries another after he was traded to the Vancouver Canucks last season.
Shortly after Chytil was traded from the Rangers to the Vancouver Canucks this past season, he suffered an apparent neck injury, after being hit from behind during a game against the Chicago Blackhawks, which kept him out for the end of the year.
Filip Chytil Reveals His Main Focus Heading Into The 2025-26 Season
Filip Chytil revealed that his primary concern going into the 2025-26 season is to stay healthy, and that he's feeling good.
«Great, I feel great,» Chytil said. «I said it at the end of the season that I feel I was ready to go offseason. I was very happy that I finished the season with the guys on the ice for a couple of practices.
«Two weeks after I came I started to work out and skate. Now, it's almost four months already where I'm working out and skating.»

Time and time again the 25-year old forward makes it clear that everything rides on his health and how he can try to stay health.
«Everything depends on my health right now,» Chytil said. «I know what I can do and I will do everything to help make our team make the playoffs again, and make it a successful season for us. But I need to focus on my health, as well.»
